Executive Coaching

Very often senior executives have ‘not had the time’ to invest in themselves through management training and development - often over a number of years.  Consequently, many senior executives are now making a commitment to development through coaching and mentoring.

The Coaching Process

Phase 1

  • An introductory meeting between the ‘core coach’ and the client to explain the process in detail and take an in depth life/career brief. The client identifies half-a-dozen 360º feedback interviewees
  • We undertake the 360º feedback interviews (face-to-face or by telephone) and distil the 360º output into a strengths/development analysis
  • We give feedback to the participant, agree key strengths and weaknesses and the main components of their personal development programme
  • In consultation with the participant we agree which , if any, coaching subjects will be delivered by a ‘specialist coach’

Phase 2

  • Deliver each coaching component on a 4-6 weekly cycle and for each:

    • Clarify the issue(s) from the individual’s point of view
    • Discuss ‘best practice’ for the issue(s) being tackled
    • Identify strategies for dealing with the issue(s)
    • At the subsequent meeting:
      • Evaluate the degree to which experimentation with new strategies has been successful
      • Re-cast improvement strategies as necessary
      • Move on to the next coaching topic and enter a new 4-6 week cycle
